Festivals and events in February in Broward

If you like a selection of free and inexpensive things to do, Broward offers a variety of events that likely fit your fancy. Lively festivals and other events are ideal for frugal excursions with family, friends, and yourself.

February includes the Orange Blossom Festival, Butterfly Festival, Black History Month exhibits and festivals, Valentine's Day, Ignite Broward arts festival and others.

Plenty of events are free. Parking is often free. Occasionally parking fees may apply.

Namaste Indian Art & Food Festival

Namaste Indian Festival features foods, dancing, and wares of India. The event is 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 1, at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater, 1806 NE Sixth Street, Pompano 33060.

Fort Lauderdale Home Design & Remodeling Show

Fort Lauderdale Home Design & Remodeling Show is Friday, January 31, through Sunday, February 2, with hundreds of booths and displays from home improvement and home products businesses. The shows  include speakers and and a display of decorated room vignettes produced by designers.

If you purchase tickets prior to the event, you can get a deal. Discounts include 2-for-1 deal with 2 tickets for $14, or 1 ticket for $10, while the promotion is offered. Regular prices usually are $14 for adults, $10 for seniors and $1 for kids ages 4-12.

Woofstock in Sunrise

Woofstock in Sunrise is free event for dogs & people

Leash up your best furry friend for a lively event. Woofstock festival for people and dogs  is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday February 1, and entry is free. It's at Pawgrass at Welleby Park, 11100 NW 44 Street, Sunrise. The event includes pet vendors, Air K9z Frisbee show, and Sunrise Police K-9 demonstration.

Free entry days for kids at Florida Renaissance Festival

The Renaissance Festival weekends in February is a relatively pricey event.  For a deal February 1 and 2, kids 11 and younger enter for free and the vibe is Jester’s Jamboree – A Gaggle of Giggles. The Renaissance Festival is at Quiet Waters Park, 954-357-5100, 401 S. Powerline Road, Deerfield Beach 33442.

Arts Day in Weston

Arts Day in Weston February 2 includes  tattoo and balloon art, and an open-air art studio for painting and pottery.  The venue is Town Center Park, 1900 Bell Tower Lane, Weston.

 

 

Soul Fest in Oakland Park

Entry is free entry for Soul Fest in Oakland Park

Groove to tunes by The Derek Mack Band.  Soul Fest is is Friday, February 7, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with live entertainment and food trucks offering food and drinks for purchase.

The venue is Pastorius Park, 4000 N. Dixie Highway, Oakland Park. Parking is free. Soul Fest festivities are among an various events in Broward in recognition of Black History Month.

ArtLit in North Broward

ArtLit is 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, February 8, at the North Regional Broward Library.  The free event includes a variety of activities and entertainment including games, food trucks, Asian art, writing workshop, interactive art projects and performances. The emphasis is on China.  The venue is North Regional/Broward College Library, 1100 Coconut Creek Boulevard, Coconut Creek.

One Tamarac festival

The One Tamarac multicultural festival with a Junkanoo band and other live entertainment  is 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday, February 8, and entry is free. It offers food vendors, exhibits and kids zone.  Live music, dance and laser light show are included. The event is at Tamarac Sports complex, 9901 NW 77 Street. 

Riverwalk Chili CookOff

The event in 2025 is 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, February 8, at  Esplanade Park, 400 S.W. Second St., Fort Lauderdale 33312.  Esplanade Park is on Riverwalk, which is a lovely pedestrian walkway on the New River. Entry is free. Food and drinks are offered for purchase.

Ignite Broward

Talented artists from around the world display 3D projection and light sculptures. The events are Friday, February 14, through Sunday, February 23, in Fort Lauderdale, Dania Beach and Hollywood. Entry to the displays and events is free.

Valentine's Day weddings

Register to participate in a group wedding and vow renewal event February 14 in Fort Lauderdale. Apply for a wedding license and register by February 9, if space is available. Regular fees apply for wedding licenses.

Pioneer Days in Deerfield

Pioneer Days, Parade & Art Stroll in Deerfield

Live Bands. Artist exhibits. Fireworks.

The parade is 10 a.m. Saturday, February 15, from St. Ambrose Catholic School, east on Hillsboro Boulevard, north on A1A, south on the beach 

Pioneer Days are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m Saturday February 15, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, February 16, at the Beach Parking Lot, 149 SE 21st Avenue.

Tiger Trail Parade & Festival in Pompano

Trina is among the entertainment at the Tiger Trail parade and festival 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday, February 15 in Pompano Beach. The parade at 8:30 a.m. includes  Ely High School Band, dancers and twirlers.

Orange Blossom Festival in Davie

The Orange Blossom Festival & Parade in Davie Festival is Friday, February 21, through Sunday, February 23, with lots of free live entertainment.  The event also includes vendors and things to do for kids.

Most Orange Blossom Festival events are at Bamford Park, 3801 S. Pine Island Road, Davie. Parking is free.

If you like vehicles, Old Davie School is hosting a car show  11 a.m. to 2 p.m. February 23 tied in with the festival. Old Davie School, 954-797-1044, is at 6650 Griffin Road, Davie. Entry is free. Parking is free.

If you want to display a vehicle, the registration fee is $15 prior to the event and $20 at the event.

Butterfly Festival in Coconut Creek

Free Butterfly Festival in North Broward

The Butterfly Festival is 2 p.m. to  8:30 p.m. Saturday, February 22, with free entry.  The event includes free rides, live entertainment and fireworks.

The festival is at Sabal Pines Park, 5005 NW 39th Ave., which does not offer vehicle parking. Free shuttle service is offered 1:45 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. from Butterfly Parking Lot, 5550 NW 40th Street, Coconut Creek. A bike valet station is at Sabal Pines Park.

Sistrunk Parade and Festival in Fort Lauderdale

Sistrunk Parade & Festival

The parade at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, February 22, features steppers, floats and vintage vehicles. The route is Lincoln Park, 600 NW 19th Ave., Fort Lauderdale 33311, east on Sistrunk Boulevard to Northwest Ninth Avenue. 

The festival is 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. February 22 on Sistrunk Boulevard from Northwest Ninth Avenue to Northwest 13th Avenue.  The event includes live bands, games, and vendors. A Kids Zone is included.

Nicole Yarling in Pompano

Jazz vocalist & violinist Nicole Yarling performs in Pompano & it's free 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 27 with free reservations offered online

The venue is Pompano Cultural Center, 50 W. Atlantic Boulevard, Pompano Beach 33060.

Flamingo Fest at Flamingo Gardens

Flamingo Fest is 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, February 8, and Sunday, February 9, with artists painting live, Junkanoo band, art vendors, plant vendors, and flamingo dress-up events with prizes for adults and kids. The venue is Flamingo Gardens in Davie and opportunities for discounts are offered.
