Free concert by the Broward Symphony
The Broward Symphony is presenting a free concert dedicated to the works of the composer Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

You can lose yourself in the sweeping melodies of Scheherazade, a timeless symphonic suite that weaves magical tales through soaring solos and lush instrumental textures. The evening also features the dazzling showcase of Capriccio Espagnol, a fiery celebration of Spanish folk melodies bursting with percussion, dance rhythms, and unmatched orchestral brilliance.
The Broward Symphony, conducted by Terence Kirchgessner, is a volunteer orchestra of more than 70 musicians, including Broward College students and adults from the community. It presents four concerts a year, from October through May.
The Masterworks I: Scheherazade will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 17, at the Bailey Concert Hall at Broward College. Admission is free, with no tickets required.
Bailey Concert Hall is at 3501 Davie Rd., Davie, FL 33314.
