Free Sips & Shorts: City Theatre at Pinecrest Gardens

The lush surroundings of Pinecrest Gardens are the ideal setting for Art in the Gardens. It's billed as "happy hour with a cultural twist."

 

On Thursday, April 16, 2026, starting at 7 p.m. they'll be presenting "Sips & Shorts: City Reads - Death & Taxes" with special guest City Theatre.

 

It's an evening of captivating short plays, four in total that cover two things people can't avoid - death and taxes. Sip drinks at the lush Pinecrest Gardens and explore the “season” through four fast and funny 10-minute plays read by professional actors with musical accompaniment by world-pop duo Hola Hi.

 

After the readings, stay and join the conversation! Meet the actors and discuss the plays with Artistic Director Margaret M. Ledford. There is adult content and language in the plays being read.
