Volunteer to spend a ‘Day in the Dirt’ at The Underline, Miami

The Underline Plaza is a popular urban spot that hosts activities and events accessible to everyone. The project is sponsored by Florida Power & Light at the intersection of Southwest 1st Avenue and 8th Street in Miami. But in order to keep the area beautiful and clean, volunteers are enlisted on the first Saturday of the month to help with weeding and planting in the Brickell Backyard.

Upcoming Day in the Dirt dates in 2024, from 9 to 11 a.m.:

  • Saturday, June 1
  • Saturday, Aug., 3
  • Saturday, Sept. 7
  • Saturday, Oct. 5
  • Saturday, Nov. 2

A horticulture intern will conduct those who register and show up on what to do and how to do it, etc. Gardening tools will be provided but volunteers must bring their own gardening gloves. Also, please take water to stay hydrated, wear comfortable clothes, sunscreen, and a hat if you want to get outdoors and spend the day digging in the dirt. Scroll down for the link to RSVP.
