Swing Dance lessons & events in Fort Lauderdale
Put on your dancing shoes. Swing Out, South Florida offers dance lessons and dance socials in Fort Lauderdale.
The events, usually every other Wednesday, include a lesson at 7:45 p.m. and a dance event at 8:30 p.m. with a DJ playing swing and jazz. Entry fee is $10 for adults and $6 for students. The event brings together dancers from teens to retirees, who dance to jazz, swing and other vintage styles.
The upcoming events in 2026 include August 5 and 19; September 2, 16 and 30; October 14 and 28; November 11 and 25 and December 9 and 23. The "taster" lessons and social dances are usually every other Wednesday night.
The club is hosting a special World Lindy Hop dance event on Saturday, May 30, with guest instructor Jill Cohen and a live band, the Allyson Briggs (Fleur Seule) Quartet. Admission is $10 - $20 and $8 for students.
