Interactive fun and exciting displays and demonstrations are featured at a science festival at the Museum of Discovery and Science in Fort Lauderdale. Entry is free, but registration is advance is requested. The event is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2025.
The Festival is for adults and kids. Venues in downtown Fort Lauderdale include Museum of Discovery and Science, 401 SW 2nd St., Fort Lauderdale 33312, 954-467-6637, and Esplanade Park, 400 SW 2nd Street, Fort Lauderdale. Food and drinks are available for purchase from vendors.
The event emphasizes the value of STEM, which is acronym for science, technology, engineering and math.

Science Festival events will include:
- Live science shows from nationally recognized presenters.
- Makerspace workshops, which will include opportunities to build and create.
- Innovation showcase, featuring cutting-edge science breakthroughs from local industries and universities.
- Science cafes, with talks by STEM professionals.
Parking is usually about $3 an hour.
