For family fun, National Night Out events often include activities, police and firefighter demonstrations and entertainment. In Plantation, for example, the event includes a petting zoo, rock wall and a performance featuring The Fuzz police department band.
National Night Out in 2023 is August 1, with free events in South Florida, including Plantation and Sunrise. National Night Out events foster public safety and establishing friendly links with neighbors and with local police.
