National Night Out events include The Fuzz performing in Plantation

For family excursions, National Night Out events in South Florida often include activities, police and firefighter demonstrations and entertainment.  The events are free. 

Some events offer lots to do. The Plantation event includes bounce houses, rock wall and The Fuzz police department band. 

 National Night Out events foster public safety and establishing friendly links with neighbors and with local police.

Plantation

5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, at Pine Island Park, 320 S. Pine Island Road, Plantation. The event includes live entertainment from The Fuzz police department rock band. Parking is free.

Sunrise

6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, at the Sunrise Public Safety Building, 10440 W.  Oakland Park Boulevard, Sunrise. The National Night Out  event includes food, entertainment and family activities. Police demonstrations and public safety equipment are featured. 

Fort Lauderdale

The free event is 5 p.m. to  7 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, presented by Fort Lauderdale Police and Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation.  The event includes back to school items while supplies last and safety demonstrations and tips.  Parking is free.  It's at Carter Park, 1450 W. Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale 33311

Davie

The event is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Tuesday, August 5, at Booth Park, 4200 SW 61st Avenue, Davie. Police Department demonstrations are featured. 

Margate

Safety information, entertainment, and games are featured at National Night Out in Margate. The event is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, and entry is free. It's at the sports complex, 1695 Banks Road.
