Music Club of Hollywood free concerts

The Music Club of Hollywood is planning a full season of free concerts at various venues in Hollywood through June 2025.

Here is the schedule:

  • Saturday, Feb. 1. 4 p.m. Sounds of Motown. T-Y Park, 3300 N. Park Road, Hollywood. 
  • Wednesday, Feb. 12. 6:15 p.m. Flint Blade, Chapman stick player. This is part of the Folk Music series. Stirling Road Library, 3151 Stirling Road, Hollywood 33021
  • Sunday, Feb. 16. 2 p.m. Nevada Hadary Jazz Trio: 3 Generations. Anne Kolb Nature Center, 751 Sheridan St., Hollywood.
  • Friday, March 14. 6 p.m. Good Time Rock-n-Roll. T-Y Park, 3300 N. Park Road, Hollywood. 
  • Sunday, March 16. 2 p.m. American Songbook, featuring Mark Bornfield, trumpeter/pianist, and D'Jamin Bartlett, vocalist. Anne Kolb Nature Center, 751 Sheridan St., Hollywood.
  • Sunday, March 23. 3 p.m. Cecilia St. King, singer-songwriter. A folk jam will follow from 4 to 5 p.m. This is part of the Folk Music series. Stirling Road Library, 3151 Stirling Road, Hollywood 33021.
  • Wednesday, April 9. 6:15 p.m. Matthew Sabatella, Ballad of America. This is part of the Folk Music series. Stirling Road Library, 3151 Stirling Road, Hollywood 33021.
  • Sunday, April 12. 2 p.m. Chamber music concert. Anne Kolb Nature Center, 751 Sheridan St., Hollywood.
  • Sunday, May 11. 2 p.m. Mother's Day Concert. Dr. Jose Lezcano, classical Spanish guitar. Anne Kolb Nature Center, 751 Sheridan St., Hollywood.

The Music Club of Hollywood includes music lovers, musicians, artists and teachers.  Membership is $45 a year.

Teresa Mears is a publisher, writer and editor who was raised to be frugal. She became a website entrepreneur after 30 years as an editor at newspapers ranging in size from the Portland (Tenn.) Leader to The Los Angeles Times and The Miami Herald, where she worked most recently.
