In 2024, the festival is 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, June 14, and entry is free. It's at Apollo Park, 1580 NW Third Avenue, Pompano Beach 33060.

The event includes games for kids, face painting, food vendors, poetry, dance, and other performances, Juneteenth history, and other festivities.

Juneteenth, which is celebrated June 19, is a holiday representing the abolition of slavery in the United States. It commemorates the day in 1865 that the Emancipation Proclamation was honored in Texas.
