Free annual Japanese festival on Watson Island

A free Japanese festival will take place on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, at the Ichimura Miami-Japan Garden on Watson Island. From 11 a.m. to 4 pm., you can bask in Japanese entertainment, culture, food and music. The event includes demonstrations of sushi and ikebana as well as a Japanese tea ceremony, kisen calligraphy mural, and cosplay exhibition.

There is also Calligraphy and Origami at the Kids Corner tents and an entertaining Sushi demonstration. A sample Sushi plate will be on sale for just $10. An optional Tea Ceremony is available for $10. Includes an Authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony, cup of tea and a sweet. Bring cash for food and special workshop tickets.
