Holiday fun for all at Las Olas Oceanside Park

Festive lights, a dapper 20-foot snowman named Olas, and entertaining holiday events are featured at Las Olas Oceanside Park in Fort Lauderdale. 

Lots of events are free. Las Olas Oceanside Park or LOOP is at 3000 E. Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316.

Events for 2022 include:

Light Up Fort Lauderdale Beach

Light Up festivities are 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. November 22 and include a kids’ area with Santa, live entertainment, inflatables, slides, and pony rides. Entertainment at 7  p.m. is Bobby Rodriguez Orchestra. Information is online.

Lighting festivities

5 p.m. – 8 p.m. November  25 features holiday music with singer, songwriter and guitarist Peter Mayer and his band.  Holiday market at 5 p.m. Photos ops with Santa 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. Show at 7 p.m. with free open lawn seating, reserved seating is $5-$10, and VIP packages are $80-$140


“Elf” movie is featured 6:45 p.m. December 8, with holiday vendors at 5 p.m., and photo ops 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. with Santa, Elf & Jovie.  Entry is free. Attendees must be with a parent or guardian if younger than 16. Information is online

Live Entertainment

Boogie Wonderland 7 p.m. -11 p.m. December 9 is for ages 21 and older. Event features disco, hip-hop and favorite Top 40 hits. $15-$100. Information is online


Film “A Dog Named Christmas” 6:45 p.m. December 15 with other fun 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. including vendors, games, photo ops. Attendees must be with a parent or guardian if younger than 16

Live Entertainment

Steelpan artist John Patti is featured at an event 5 p.m.  – 10 pm. December 16, with free lawn seating or $20 for table seating for 4 people. The event includes vendors, photos with Santa, 7:45 – 8:45 p.m.;  and show at 7 p.m. Information is online.

Live Entertainment

Festivities and show 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. December 24 featuring a Swing era vibe with Jeff Grainger and the Hoboken Band. Free lawn seating or VIP tables $20-$60. Event includes Santa 5:30  p.m. – 7 p.m. and show at 7 p.m.

Holiday bazaar events are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. November 27 and December 4, 11, and 18, includes local vendors
