Leash up, and perhaps dress up, your dog for Halloween festivities.

Here are some Halloween events for pets and their people.

Bow Wow Ween

Bow Wow Ween is  9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 5, at the dog park at 9751 Johnson Street, Pembroke Pines.

The event includes games and pet vendors. Entry is free. Parking is free.

Costume contests for dogs include:

  • 10 a.m. Mr. and Miss Bow Wow Ween 
  • 10:30 Funniest costume
  • 11 a.m. cutest costume
  • 11:30 most original
  • 12 p.m best family

Howl-o-Ween

Howl-o-Ween is 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 12, hosted by Hollywood branch library, 2600 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood 33020.  The venue is outside at the Old Library Building Field.

The event features a costume contest for dogs. Entry and parking are free for participants and spectators.

Halloween event for people and pets at Esplanade at Aventura

Howl-o-ween Pawday is 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday, October 27 at Esplanade at Aventura, dining and shopping plaza, 19505 Biscayne Blvd., Miami 33180.

Halloween for dogs in Plantation

Rock & Brews restaurant is featuring a Halloween event for people and dogs, including dressed up dogs.

The event is 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. October 31 at Plantation Walk
