Miami's Legion Park, set along the bayfront in the MiMo District, is the site for a free Sunday Jazz in the Park concert on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 4:30 p.m.
The lush canopy of trees and bayfront breeze make it the perfect location for an early afternoon jazz concert. Headliner Gerald Albright, a Grammy Award-winning saxophonist will perform music from his albums “24/7,” “Slam Dunk,” “New Beginnings” and “Sax for Stax.” Albright has performed as a studio musician for Anita Baker, The Temptations, Olivia Newton-John and Ray Parker, Jr. His sound blends jazz, funk, R&B and disco.
Also performing that afternoon will be renowned percussionist Tito Puente, Jr. who carries on his legendary father's Latin jazz legacy.

The event is presented by City of Miami Chairwoman and District 5 Commissioner Christine King. Everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, and dogs are also welcomed. Food from local food vendors will be available for purchase.
