The Children's Science Explorium in Sugar Sand Park is a free hands-on science center designed for children 5-12 years of age and their caregivers. It offers fascinating and interactive exhibits, programs that bring the physical sciences to life.
Admission is free, however a suggested donation of $5 per person is appreciated. The Sugar Sand Park Carousel is temporarily closed. Some activities require fees to cover the cost of materials or are being presented by outside hosts.
There is a new traveling exhibit at the Explorium through Jan. 4, 2026. At Mission Aerospace, the sky is no longer the limit.
Think NASA is just about airplanes and rockets? Guess again! Sending a person around the world, or to another world, requires much more than that.
From the ground beneath your feet to the depths of space, and everything in between, NASA studies it all. Mission Aerospace invites you to embark on a multi-layered exploration of aviation history, aerospace milestones, and some of NASA’s trail-blazing discoveries that are shaping our world every day.
Following is a sample of ongoing activities available at no cost.
