Free Reuse-a-Palooza event at Moss Center in Cutler Bay

Recycle, reuse, repurpose and create community. That's the mission of The Things Lab, a community-based nonprofit that hosts workshops, collaborate exchange of recycled items that would otherwise be discarded and events that encourage creativity, sustainability and shared knowledge.

So on Saturday, Feb. 21 from noon to 4 p.m. they're hosting their Reuse-a-Palooza, a community event co-hosted with Debris Free Oceans. Admission is free but RSVP requested.

Think of it as a fun community swap meet where you can bring items to exchange and also find items to bring home. Here's what you'll find at Reuse-a-Palooza:

  • Find things in their Things Swap
  • Swap things at their Clothing Swap
  • Make creative projects using random things
  • Enjoy a performance by the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura
  • Repair your things at the Repair and Mending Stations

There will also be a vendor fair featuring organizations centered on environmental sustainability.
