Free programs on fostering kittens offered at Broward libraries

Residents who volunteer to rescue and foster homeless kittens are valuable in South Florida.

Some of the rescued kitties are newborns. Others are wandering streets and neighborhoods.

For folks interested in rescuing abandoned kittens or fostering them until they're old enough to be adopted, free information and programs are offered at Broward Library branches. Events include information on bottle feeding.

11 a.m. June 9 Broward Library, 100 S. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale

12 p.m. – 2 p.m. June 24 Miramar branch library, 2050 Civic Center Place 33025
