Free Parking Day festivities in Miami

Friday, Sept. 19 is National Parking Day when curbside parking spaces are transformed into public parks and social spaces throughout the nation. Miami is joining in on the fun at a few select locations.

We found a couple of places where there's fun happening throughout the day.

Metrorail Brickell Station
1001 SW 1 Ave., Miami from 9 a.m. to noon
A pop-up park installation will include fun activities for kids, prize giveaways, bicycle safety on trails and streets and how parks make cities healthier.

City of Coral Gables
Various locations around Downtown from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Enjoy board games, light bites and grab some giveaways!
