Free New Year’s Eve fun with anchor drop in Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale is offering free New Year’s Eve festivities, an outdoor street party with its famous anchor drop and live entertainment.

The fun in 2022 is 4:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. December 31 to 1 a.m. at Southwest Second Street and Southwest Fifth Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.

Fun includes

• anchor drop
• inflatable slides, face painting and other fun for kids  4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. 
• 7 p.m. Kids New Years festivities

Entertainment includes Big City Dogs at 5:30 – 8:55 and Juanabe 9:30 p.m. -11:55 p.m.
