If you like watching films out in the open air, Las Olas Oceanside Park in Fort Lauderdale offers occasional events with free flicks.

Free movies in 2025 include:

8 p.m. Friday, May 30 ‘Ferris Bueller's Day Off' with festivities at 6 p.m. including

photo booth
South Florida Pride Marching Band
free popcorn for ages 15 and younger, register online
baseball game
free bike safety information and free scooters to the first 30 children ages 6 -13 who register at the event
free sunglasses and reflective slap bracelets while supplies last

Las Olas Oceanside Park is at 3000 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale 33316.

Parking fees apply for beach parking including Las Olas Beach Parking Garage, 200 Las Olas Circle, with a PayByPhone payment option using the PayByPhone APP. Parking fees are usually $4 an hour.
