The Miami Symphony Orchestra, billed as the Official Symphony Orchestra of the City of Miami, under the longtime direction of Maestro Eduardo Marturet, is returning to the Miami Design District for a free concert.
They'll be performing under the stars on Monday, Feb. 19, at 6:30 p.m. at 191 NE 40 St. This is one of their famed open-air concerts and, as is customary, they're rolling out the red carpet. The performance will be produced by Emilio Estefan and under the baton of the dynamic Maestro Marturet.
Accompanying the orchestra will be legendary reggae band The Wailers, featuring the remaining members of Bob Marley & The Wailers and bassist Familyman Barrett. Additionally, there will be special performances by pianist and singer Carlos Camilo, artist and vocalist Ana Villafañe, country singer and songwriter Eric Lee and classical guitarist Luis Quintero.
All the special guests will be backed up the Miami Symphony Orchestra in this concert under the stars. RSVP is required and should be done soon as these concerts sell out quickly!
Later in the week on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 5-7 p.m. they will perform a free concert at Downtown Doral Park as part of their MISO in the Park Series. Bring blankets and chairs, even picnic baskets are encouraged although there will be food available for purchase.
