Clyde Butcher has been a legendary nature photographer for decades, especially known for his large-format black-and-white stills that capture the breadth and life of the Florida Everglades. This weekend, the public is invited to help his family and friends celebrate his 80th birthday.
EVENT: Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 3-4, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Clyde Butcher Big Cypress Gallery, 52388 Tamiami Trail East, Ochopee. Free with registration.
This is an artist meet and greet with party snacks and plenty of cheer! This event is free and open to the public but the family asks that you please RSVP so they know how many people to expect.
Gallery staff will be installing a new selection of Clyde’s photography for viewing. Niki’s gallery room will be redecorated with a new look and new framing styles for her hand-painted photography just in time. Clyde and Niki will be available to sign books and visit with fans. Clyde’s staff will be on hand to answer questions and assist guests.
Clyde Butcher book signing Oct. 1: $15-$20.
