Free foreign films, $10 classic films in Deerfield Beach

Foreign films are offered for free in Deerfield Beach, presented by Deerfield Beach Historical Society.

The international films often include refreshments related to the nation where the film was produced. Donations are appreciated.

International Film Night is usually 7 p.m. the third Friday of the month at the Deerfield Beach Historical Society Museum & Cultural Center building, 84 SE Fourth Avenue, Deerfield Beach 33441. The series runs October through May.

For summer 2024, the Deerfield Beach Historical Society is offering a series of classic films from June through September, with $10 admission.

Here is the schedule for the Summer American Classic Movie Series:

  • Friday, June 21: Breakfast at Tiffany's. 7 p.m.
  • Friday, July 19: Some Like It Hot. 7 p.m.
  • Friday, Sept. 20: Singin' in the Rain. 7 p.m.

Snacks and drinks will be available. The event runs 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Deerfield Beach Historical Society Museum & Cultural Center, 84 SE Fourth Avenue, Deerfield Beach 33441. Admission is $10 per person.

  • October 20, 2023, 7 p.m.: The Duck Pond
  • November 17, 2023, 7 p.m.: The Commitments (Ireland/UK)
  • December 15, 2023, 7 p.m.: Nine Queens (Argentina)
  • January 19, 2024, 7 p.m.: Persian Lessons (Germany, Russia, Belarus, 2020)
  • February 16, 2024, 7 p.m.: I Am Not a Witch (Zambia, 2017)
  • March 15, 2024, 7 p.m.: Shame (Australia, 1988)
  • April 19, 2024, 7 p.m.: The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (France, 1964)
  • May 17, 2024, 7 p.m.: Kitchen Stories (Sweden/Norway, 2003)
