Posted by: Free Family Day is every first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.. It's a fun day to meet neighbors, participate in yoga and meditation and partake in that month's themed activities.
Special Event: On Saturday, Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. is the Grand Opening of the Chewy Bark Park at 4500 Ponce de Leon Blvd. near SW 42 St. and Grand Ave. in Coral Gables. There will be pet activities, giveaways and meet and greet with other pet parents.
The February 7, 2026 Family Day theme is Coolture, an immersive cultural family-friendly festival taking place at the Inter Grove Gallery at 2771 SW 27 Ave. where you can create a flag and mask, design a collage and decorate a percussion instrument, hear storytellers tell cultural folktales and listen to acoustic music between stories, join a drum circle and partake in dance workshops set to Latin and Caribbean music. Every second and fourth Saturday of the month, enjoy the Farmers Market at The Underline from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at SW 8 St. and SW 1 Ave. where you can buy seasonal produce, handmade crafts, local honey, artisanal cheeses, baked goods and handmade bags and clothing. Directions for Fun Days every first Saturday of the month. Getting there:
• Take the Metrorail to Brickell Metrorail Station, exit North and walk to the Urban Gym, located right after crossing SW 8th street. The Urban Gym is on SW 1st Ave between SW 8th and SW 7th streets.
• Walk or bike (bike trail on The Underline as SW 1st Avenue and SW 1st Street) to the Urban Gym, located right after the crossing to 8th street. The Urban Gym is on SW 1st Ave between SW 8th and SW 7th streets.
• If you drive, please use nearby public parking lots at Brickell City Centre and Mary Brickell Village. Then walk the Urban Gym on SW 1st Ave between SW 8th and SW 7th streets.
