The picturesque New River in Fort Lauderdale is the scene of a lively event featuring thousands of floating rubber ducks and opportunities to win exciting prizes.
Duck Fest Derby in 2026 is 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Esplanade Park, 400 SW 2nd Street, Fort Lauderdale.

The event, which supports organizations that assist families and kids, includes a Kids and Family Fun Zone, KID Olypics, bounce houses, face painting, petting zoo, vendors food trucks and live entertainment. The highlight of the fest is the duck derby, offering the participants who adopt toy ducks opportunities for exciting prizes, including $10,000.
Entertainment includes Mike Sipe Entertainment and high school bands.
Entry for the event is free. Rubber duck adoptions for the derby are $5 each. Each duck entered is numbered to determine which adopters win prizes.

Food trucks are on site. Parking rates are usually about $3 an hour.
