The picturesque New River in Fort Lauderdale is the scene of a lively event featuring thousands of floating rubber ducks and opportunities to win exciting prizes.
Duck Fest Derby in 2025 is 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Esplanade Park, 400 SW 2nd Street, Fort Lauderdale.
The event, which supports organizations that assist families and kids, includes a Kids Fun Zone, activities, a petting zoo, face painting, food trucks and live entertainment. The highlight of the fest is the duck derby, offering the participants who adopt toy ducks opportunities for exciting prizes.
Entry for the event is free. Rubber duck adoptions for the derby are $5 each. Each duck entered is numbered to determine which adopters win prizes.
