A gospel choir, a patriotic concert saluting veterans, a concert pianist and concert organist make up the performances at the Lamar Louise Curry Concert Series, a free four-concert series at First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables.
Concert are in October and November 2025 and January and February 2026. Here is the schedule.
Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.
Musical Director Vertellis Kendrick leads the Inspirational Gospel Choir of Bethune-Cookman University the performance by the young, dynamic University students in a concert of faithful, inspirational music.
Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025 at 4 p.m.
The Miami Sousa Band: Salute to Veterans
A Veteran's Day concert honoring those served in the U.S. Armed Forces including patriotic songs The Stars & Stripes Forever along with classical work, virtuosic solos and marches performed in Sousa style.
Friday, Jan. 23, 2026 at 7:30 p.m.
Concert by world-renowned pianist Thomas Pandolfi of the Miami Sousa Band performing Grieg’s Piano Concerto in a minor and Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto #1 in b flat minor.
Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026 at 7:30 p.m.
Concert by organist Dr. Ilona Kubiaczyk-Adler performing music from her solo album Antique Sound Palette.
