FPL to give away 200 trees and lights Dec. 3, Miami

Here's a chance to get a free tree along with a string of holiday lights to make your home decorations complete.

The first 200 households, on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, will receive free Christmas trees  with energy-efficient LED lights. The event is being hosted in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade and Florida Power & Light Company (FPL).

  • What: Free, energy-efficient Christmas trees for customers
  • When: Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024 (line opens at 4 p.m.)
  • Where: Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade, Hank Kline Club, 2805 SW 32nd Ave., Miami.  The Club can be reached at 305-446-9910.

FPL energy experts will also share savings tips as customers get their homes ready for the holidays. They will not only show customers how they can save additional money each month but will also explain its full suite of tools and resources, including the FPL House of Savings Challenge. The challenge allows customers to play to learn easy to implement tips to lower energy costs and earn a chance to win a $150-valued prize pack.
