Tradewinds Park in northwest Broward features an educational farm with sheep, a pig, and other animals.
Farm tours are usually offered on weekends for $3 a person. Entry for Tradewinds Park on weekends and holidays is a separate fee, $3 per vehicle for up to 8 people.
On tour, depending on the day, participants likely are offered opportunities to pet the animals and take photos. Feeding sheep and goats is $1 for food. Pancetta the pig, who previously was a pet, sits and lies down for treats.
Farm tours usually are 11:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. on weekends, and it's a good idea to phone ahead to ensure the farm is open the day you want to attend.
