Drone lights show, food trucks and a bounce house with an Independence Day theme are featured at free in 2025 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 2 at Lauderhill Sports Park, 7500 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderhill 33319. Entry is free.

Fireworks, parades, live bands for Fourth of July in Broward 

If you like fireworks, there are plenty of Fourth of July events in Broward. Some towns host parades. Some offer live bands and bounce houses.  Lauderdhill and Deerfield Beach are featuring drone shows. Fireworks are July 3 in Weston. For plenty of events, especially in West Broward, parking is free. For fireworks at the beach, parking fees usually are in place.

Dive-in film at pool in Pompano 

8 p.m. Friday, July 18 dive-in film is Shark Tale

Watch from the water or from the deck. Please bring your own seat.

Tacos & Tequila 

Food trucks and vendors are serving up their variations of a fan favorite — tacos.  Tacos and Tequila Feast in 2025 is 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Esplanade Park, 400 S.W.  Second Street, Fort Lauderdale 33312. Esplanade Park is on the lovely Riverwalk promenade along New River. Parking in Fort Lauderdale is usually about $3 or $4 an hour.

Public pools and water playgrounds in public parks are fairly inexpensive, and some offer discount opportunities. Plenty of splash pads in public parks  are free.

Plantation Historical Museum includes exhibits, occasional trivia games and other events, and often model train displays.

The venue usually is open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on  Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with some exceptions.
