Rhythm By the River Black Voices festival

Entry is free for Rhythm by the River “Black Voices” Festival in Fort Lauderdale, which features live performances, activities and food trucks.

The Rhythm By The River festival in 2024 is 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at Esplanade Park on the delightful Riverwalk promenade.

Performers and activities include

  • singer-songwriter Alexander Star
  • West Africa dance and drumming with Delou Africa
  • hip-hop dance with Pablo Malco
  • West Africa dance and drumming with Delou Africa
  • Jazz saxophonist Randy Corinthian
  • roots reggae band Jah Steve & the Counteract Crew
  • crafts
  • games provided by the YMCA of South Florida
  • food trucks and beverages
  • face painting

The event is part of Broward Center's “Black Voices” initiative focusing on the role of the arts in equality and social justice.

Esplanade Park is at 400 SW Second Street, Fort Lauderdale 33312.

Parking is usually about $3 an hour.
