Rhythm By the River Black Voices festival

Entry is free for Rhythm by the River event in Fort Lauderdale, which features live performances, games and food trucks.

The Rhythm By The River festival, celebrating local voices, is 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Esplanade Park on the delightful Riverwalk promenade.

Mainstage performances at Esplanade Park

  • 2 p.m. Luigi Arredondo Sextet, jazz, Latin, funk and contemporary sounds

  • 3 p.m. The Swayzees, rock ‘n’ roll and Motown vibes

  • 4 p.m. The Ladies of Simone, soulful sounds celebrating Nina Simone and more

  • 5 p.m. Inner Circle, The Bad Boys of Reggae

Free community workshops

The workshops are in the Broward Center’s Mary N. Porter Riverview Ballroom.

  • 2:20 p.m. Pioneer Winter: Every Body Moves, Movement for All

  • 3:20 p.m. Pablo Malco, high-energy hip hop dance

  • 4:20 p.m. Miamibloco, samba rhythms drumming workshop

Workshops are open to all ages, and no prior experience is needed.

The event will also include food trucks, arts and crafts, interactive games and artisan vendors.

Parking is usually about $3 an hour.
