Ocean conservation day family-friendly event

Live entertainment, pirate fun and environmental information are featured at a free event at Esplanade Park on scenic Riverwalk in Fort Lauderdale.  The event focuses on appreciating and protecting the ocean.

Ocean Day and Pirate Fest

Ocean Day and Fort Lauderdale Pirate Fest events and activities in 2024 are September  29 at Esplanade Park. Entry is free. Food and drinks are offered for purchase.

Wearing pirate garb is encouraged. 

The event is presented  by Stoked on Salt.

The 2023 events included pirate activities, strolling performers, fun for kids, face painting, floating Tiki bars, vendors and pirates.  A Kids  Zone features a pirate ship, Black Beard Pirate Shows and other fun. Mermaids are on deck.

Esplanade Park is at 400 SW Second Street, Fort Lauderdale 33312. Parking in the area is usually about $3 an hour.
