Native Plant Sale at Fern Forest in Broward

Fern Forest is featuring a native plant sale with vendors selling varieties of foliage that are preferable for South Florida yards.

A plant sale in 2024 is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, September 21, and entry is free.

Native plants are often preferable financially and environmentally. They usually don't require excess watering and fertilizing, and they offer shelter and food for birds, pollinator insects, and other wildlife.

Examples of native plants likely offered for sale include blue porterweed, lantana and passion vine.
