Miami Beach Veterans Day Ceremony

Veterans Day celebrates active duty and retired men and women who chose to serve their country with pride. Here is a list of some of the Miami-Dade Veterans Day festivities we found. They include parades, picnics, parachutes, jazz, breakfasts and even motorcycle stunt shows.

We urge everyone to show their appreciation for the members of our armed forces. Unlike Memorial Day, which honors those who are no longer with us, Veterans Day is a recognition of those who serve(d) and it is a celebration of life!

Coral Gables

Veterans Day Concert

Join the Merrick House in honoring Veterans Day, Sunday, Nov. 10, at 1 p.m. with a concert featuring Miami's Top Brass on the Merrick House lawn, 907 Coral Way. Take a blanket and picnic basket and enjoy an afternoon of live patriotic marches, ragtime tunes and jazz selections at no charge. Coconut Grove

Veterans Day Parade
Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, at 10 a.m.

Parade starts at 3872 Grand Ave., on the corner of Grand Avenue and Elizabeth Street and will proceed to Armbrister Park, 4000 Grand Ave., Coconut Grove.

Doral

Veterans Day Ceremony:

Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Veterans Park, 10190 NW 33rd St.

Military Family Day:

Saturday, Nov. 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Doral Glades Park, 7600 NW 98th Place

The City of Doral will also honor men and women who have served or are serving in the military and their families with a celebration in the park. There will food vendors, music and kids' activities.

This Doral event is free and open to the public but space is limited, so arrive early. You can RSVP on eventbrite.


Miami Beach

Monday, Nov. 11, 2024 at 11:11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

PARADE: 11:11 a.m., along Ocean Drive from 5th to 15th Streets.

CEREMONY: 12:15 p.m., at Lummus Park along Ocean Drive, between 11th and 12th Streets.

Veterans Day Parade, Miami Beach
The City of Miami Beach’s 16th annual Veterans Day Parade will feature veterans, an F-16 flyover, marching bands, local businesses, and more. The All Veteran Parachute Team will also take to the skies over South Beach for a demonstration. A wreath-laying ceremony will take place in Lummus Park, 1130 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach.

Miami Lakes

Veteran’s Day Parade:
Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon

The Town of Miami Lakes will be honoring Veterans with this patriotic tribute to honor active duty and retired military members for their dedication and service.

The parade route will begin at Bull Run and Ludlam roads. The route will continue south on Ludlam (NW 67th Ave.) to Eagles Nest Lane, then east to Main Street. After turning left on Main, the parade route ends at Town Hall, 6601 Main St..

Parade watchers are encouraged to wear their red, white and blue to celebrate members of the U.S. Military. See more details here.

Miami

FIU Salute To Military Service Breakfast:
Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, from 9 to 10:45 a.m.

This event takes place at Florida International University, Modesto A. Maidique Campus, 11200 SW 8th St., in the Graham Center Ballroom.

FIU’s annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast recognizes the vital role the military service plays in the national security of the United States of America. Past, present, and future service members will be honored through scholarship awards and an inspirational program.

This year’s breakfast will feature a keynote address by Marine Corps Gen. (ret.) Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., former Commander of United States Central Command.

Miami Gardens

Operation Veterans Stand Down 2024:
Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Miami Gardens Veterans Advisory Committee and CareerSource South Florida present this day of support and employment opportunities for veterans at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex, 3000 NW 199th St., Miami Gardens.


Palmetto Bay

Veteran's Day Breakfast, Palmetto Bay:
Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, from 7:45 to 10 a.m.

Veterans are invited to attend this special breakfast at Palmer Trinity Gymnasium, 8001 SW 184th Street. Attendees must register by Tuesday, Nov. 7; space is limited. Sign up here; or contact 305-259-1255.


North Miami

Veterans Day Ceremony:
Saturday, Nov. 11, 2024, at 10 a.m.

This special Veterans Day Ceremony will be at the Veterans Memorial at Griffing Park, NE 123rd Street and West Dixie Highway. This event will honor all military veterans who have served and who are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments and light bites will be served on-site.

North Miami Beach

Veterans Day Ceremony:
Saturday, Nov. 11, 2024, at 10 a.m. to noon

Ceremony paying tribute to the men and women who have served our country, and those who continue to preserve our freedom. This observance will be held at the Corporal B. Hinson Park for Fallen War Heroes, NE 14 Ave. and 160 St., North Miami Beach.

Sunny Isles Beach

Veterans Day Ceremony:
Saturday, Nov. 11, 2024, at 10 a.m. 

Ceremony paying tribute to the men and women who have served our country, and those who continue to preserve our freedom as well as recognizing the 2024 additions to the Veterans Wall at Heritage Park. This observance will be held at Heritage Park, 19200 Collins Ave., Sunny Isles Beach.
