Free open mic events are offered at several Broward library branches. If you want to perform, you usually need to arrive a bit early and sign up.
Here are some open mic events at Broward County libraries:
Coconut Creek
The Come Together Acoustic Guitar Cafe meets from 2 to 5 p.m. the first Saturday or every month and is free for performers and spectators. The event is organized by Joel and Linda Fishman, who perform together as an acoustic duo. This event is acoustic-only, with no electrified instruments, backing tracks or karaoke accompaniment. Fort Lauderdale
There are performance workshops, both online and in person, at varying times. Entry is free for performers and spectators. The workshop welcomes poems, songs, stories, monologues and more.
