DIY workshops for kids at participating Home Depot stores

Kids work with their hands putting together fun projects at free interactive workshops offered in South Florida at participating Home Depot and Lowe's stores.

At the workshops, youngsters build a toy truck, a photo holder, or other item. Parents or others are invited to work with them. It's a good idea to register online, especially if the events are popular. For adults, the stores offer DIY home improvement project workshops in person and online.

Home Depot

Kids' Workshops are 9 a.m. to noon the first Saturday of the month at Home Depot stores.  The events are designed for kids 5 to 12, and parents are encouraged to join in.

Projects including building a treasure box and a toy float plane.
