The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU, the only museum dedicated to telling the story of 250 years of Florida Jewish heritage, arts and culture, offers free admission every Saturday.
The museum's focal point is its core exhibit, MOSAIC: Jewish Life in Florida, 1763 to Present. The museum also has a collections and research center, films, timeline wall of Jewish history, a museum store and Bessie's Bistro, a cafe.
The museum is housed in two adjacent restored historic building that were once synagogues at 301 Washington Avenue on South Beach.
It is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, except for holidays. Admission is $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. The museum also offers group rates. Admission is free for members and FIU staff, faculty and students with ID. You can buy advance tickets here.
