Free park after dark at Biscayne National Park

The  Park After Dark programming at Biscayne National Park includes special programs from January to March. Bring the family out and enjoy fun nighttime activities.

This year's season consists of the following events:

  • March 16 – Story Slam. The theme is “Animal Tales.” Stories about animals, told by the campfire, hosted by Gaby Fernandez Sanchez. If you have a story to tell about animals, text your 50 word pitch to 305-338-6584. This free program begins at 7 p.m. on the front lawn of the Dante Fascell Visitor Center.

For each scheduled event, the Convoy Point Grounds and the Dante Fascell Visitor Center will remain open until 9pm. Additionally, there will be a campfire, s'mores, and telescopes (provided by Homestead Astronomy) at each event. All events are family friendly so picnic dinners are welcomed and bring a picnic blanket or a comfortable lawn chair. Program support provided by the South Florida National Parks Trust. For more information on any event, call the Dante Fascell Visitor Center at (786) 335-3620.
