If you like watching films out in the open air, Las Olas Oceanside Park in Fort Lauderdale is offering free Movies by Moonlight this summer on the second and fourth Friday nights of the month, from June 14 through August 9, 2024.
These “Dog Days of Summer” events are also open to leashed and friendly dogs. Snacks are drinks are available to buy on-site, or you can bring your own picnic. A limited number of chairs are available. Festivities start at 5:30 p.m., and the movie is shown at 8:15 p.m.

Free Movies by Moonlight events in 2024 include:
- June 14: Hairspray, rated PG
- June 28: Cool Runnings, rated PG-13
- July 12: Grease, rated PG
- July 26: Dirty Dancing, rated PG
- Aug. 9: Paw Patrol, rated G
Las Olas Oceanside Park is at 3000 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale 33316.
Parking fees apply for beach parking including Las Olas Beach Parking Garage, 200 Las Olas Circle, with a PayByPhone payment option using the PayByPhone APP. Parking fees usually are $4 an hour.
