Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew revisit Talking Heads

Hollywood ArtsPark is a delightful venue for free live entertainment. ArtsPark is on Hollywood Boulevard and Federal Highway.

Events in 2024 include

Saturday, September 7 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. featuring Electric Kif and Palomino Blond

Information from the band website, Electric Kif is a “Miami-based power quartet that explore the boundaries between rock, jazz fusion and electronic drum & bass.”

ArtsPark offers lawn seating. Bring a blanket or portable seat if you'd like.

Street parking is usually $1.50 an hour and parking in garages is $1 an hour.

Garage locations are:

 251 S. 20th Ave., between Harrison and Van Buren streets

 251 N. 19th Ave., between Tyler and Polk streets

Parking information is online.

Single use plastics like water bottles and disposable utensils and foam items are prohibited in Hollywood parks.

Other occasional events are presented by the Rhythm Foundation

The Rhythm Foundation offers some great free concerts in Hollywood as part of its Hollywood ArtsPark Experience concert series.

The family-friendly concerts are free.

 

Saturday, June 1, 7 p.m. Black Uhuru

Reggae legend Black Uhuru, featuring founding member Duckie Simpson, will kick off Caribbean American Heritage month. 

Black Uhuru, which started in Jamaica in 1972, has been one of the most popular roots reggae groups worldwide. The group won the first Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 1985.

The Rhythm Foundation also offers free concerts at the North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach as well as a number of ticketed events.
