Free concert in Coconut Creek

The City of Coconut Creek is putting on several free concerts as part of its Groove n Grub concert series.

Bring your blankets, chairs and coolers and listen to favorite South Florida bands at these family-friendly concerts.  No pets are allowed.

This event has been combined with the monthly food truck event, so you can buy all kinds of culinary treats. Food trucks open at 6 p.m., and the music starts at 7 p.m. The venue varies.

• 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, January 11: Streetlife Band plays top 40 hits. Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Blvd.
• Friday, March 7, at Sabal Pines Park
• Saturday. April 12, at the Recreation  Complex
• Friday, May 9, at Sabal Pines Park
• Saturday, July 12, at the Community Center
• Saturday, August 9, at the Community Center.
