Storm and weather exhibits at MODS in Fort Lauderdale

Information about storms s and weather-related activities for youngsters and families are featured at a free Eye of the Storm hurricane preparedness event in Fort Lauderdale.  The Museum of Discovery and Science and partners are presenting the event at the museum, which is featuring a free entry day. 

The event in 2025 is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 31. It includes:

  • Kids' zone
  • Weather science demonstrations and representatives from the weather industry
  • Touch a Truck with public safety vehicles 

The Museum of Discovery and Science is at 401 SW Second St., Fort Lauderdale 33312.

Parking rates vary, usually from about $3 an hour to $25 a day. Parking fees & information is on the Fort Lauderdale website.
