For Earth Day, Sunrise is offering a free festival with live entertainment, exhibitors and things to do for kids. The Earth Day festival in 2024 is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 6.
For youngsters, the event includes an area with hands-on activities, art projects and rides. Games include an Earth Day scavenger hunt.
Food, drinks and other vendor items are offered for purchase. Educational displays and live performances are part of the event.
Bring reusable water bottles and use water stations at the festival. Glass bottles are not permitted. Please leave pets at home.
The festival is at Sawgrass Sanctuary park. The location is 237 North New River Circle. Parking is free. A bike parking station is offered.
Earth Day, which officially is April 22, is an international event focusing on protecting the environment. Plenty of towns and organizations in South Florida offer Earth Day festivals and activities.
