Learn about Highwaymen artist Alfred Hair, West Palm Beach

The public is invited to celebrate Black History Month with Doretha Hair Truesdell, widow of Highwaymen artist Alfred Hair. Attendees can learn about the Highwaymen and their impact on folk art, presented by the Historical Society of  Palm Beach County.

  • What: Black History presentation about folk artists known as the Highwaymen.
  • When: Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. 
  • Where: Old courtroom on the 3rd floor of the 1916 Historic Court House, Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum, 300 N. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach.

Free parking will be available at 5 p.m. in the parking lot on 4th Street just east of Dixie Highway.
