Children’s Holiday at North

The holidays are upon us and winter wonderland themes are popping up everywhere in anticipation of Christmas. Miami Dade College North Campus is no exception, as they host Children's Holiday at North celebration on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, attendees are however encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy.

A parade with Santa’s little helpers, toy soldiers, several Disney characters and exciting marching bands, commencing immediately after Santa’s arrival.

Kids will also have the opportunity to take a picture with Santa and hear a story from Mrs. Claus herself and also watch family-friendly live performances by a Polynesian dance group and a hip-hop dance team.

Also, there will be educational and interactive cultural learning activities like the Youth in Agriculture Pavilion with a petting zoo, Human Rights Tent, the M-DCPS Magnet Schools Zone, STEM Interactive LEGO Tent and Holidays-Around-the-World Center, which showcases global holiday traditions.

Children can make holiday themed arts and crafts to take home at Santa’s Pavilion, learn about overall wellness at the Health Pavilion and obstacle course and have their photo taken with princesses and characters.
