Fort Lauderdale
Las Olas Oceanside Park is offering free Caribbean Heritage Month events in June with food, live performers and art. Vendors representing the islands are featured at many events. The events are often part of LOOP Farmers Market. The market is open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sundays, and entry is free.
Entertainment and events include:
- 8:15 p.m. June 27 animated adventure film ‘Vivo'
- 10:15 a.m. June 28 yoga with donation, register online
- 11 a.m. June 28 Pilates, free with donation of hygiene products for girls
- 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. June 28 Sabor Latino Band
- June 29 events include
9 a.m. yoga
10 a.m. Soca step fitness dance
12 p.m. – 3 p.m. June 29 Lee Kelly and the Allstars
Las Olas Oceanside Park is at 3000 E. Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale.
Fees for parking apply. Parking information is available online.
Parking in the area includes Las Olas Beach Parking Garage, 200 Las Olas Circle, with a PayByPhone payment option using the PayByPhone APP. Parking fees usually are $4 an hour.

Miramar
Taste of the Islands
Taste of the Islands is 5 p.m. – 11 p.m. Saturday, June 28, and entry is free.
The venue is the amphitheater at Miramar Regional Park, 16801 Miramar Parkway, Miramar
The event features food demonstrations and live entertainment. Entry is free. Parking is usually less expensive if purchased online and $10 at the event. Food and beverages are offered for purchase.

Pembroke Pines
Delight in the rhythms of reggae, soca, steel pan and kompa.
Caribbean American Heritage Festival is 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. June 28 and entry is free.
The event in Pembroke Pines includes entertainment, art workshops, and vendors selling Island-theme foods and goods.

Tamarac
Yard on the Lawn is a free festival in Tamarac featuring an award-winning band from Jamaica.
Morgan Heritage reggae band entertains at the event. Other performers are Orale Johnson emcee and Miss Kitty.
The festival in 2025 is 6 p.m. June 28 with free parking and free shuttles.
The venue is Tamarac Sports, 9901 NW 77th Street, Tamarac.
Parking with shuttles includes

Island SPACE Museum in Plantation
Anancy Festival is 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. June 28 and entry is free at Island SPACE in the Broward Mall, 8000 West Broward, Boulevard Plantation 33388.
The event is described as featuring folklore and mischief with a parade in the mall. It includes
