“South Florida’s Got Talent” – Alhambra Orchestra's upcoming concert features young competition winners as soloists.
Led by by artistic director Daniel Andai, the Alhambra Symphony Orchestra will accompany young soloists who are current winners of the 20th annual concerto competition.

MAY
- What: The 35th Season Finale
- When: Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.
- Where: Wertheim Performing Arts Center, 10910 SW 17th Street, Miami
Admission is free and no tickets or reservations are needed for any of these events.
In February, Alhambra Orchestra, features the three young winners of its annual concerto competition for South Florida middle- and high-school students.
- Michael Li, a 14-year-old violin student from Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, will perform the Vieuxtemps Violin Concerto No. 5.
- Eleven-year-old pianist Lilah Hahn, from West Palm Beach, will present a piano concerto by Emilie Mayer, a prolific German composer of Romantic-era music, sometimes called the “female Beethoven.”
- Violist Raul Rodriguez, a senior at West Broward Preparatory School, will perform the Walton Viola Concerto, a modern viola showpiece.
The Alhambra Orchestra will also perform Wagner’s exciting Overture from Die Meistersinger, and Slavonic Dance no. 4 by Dvorak.
In March, the orchestra will perform “From Folk to Classical,” a musical journey highlighting folk-inspired works from Europe and America.
The Season Finale in May features Tchaikovsky’s and Dvorak’s orchestrations, with the artistry of cellist Thomas Mesa as he performs Dvorak’s cello concerto, followed by the iconic and beloved Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture.
