The Iron Giant movie, Coral Gables

Coral Gables Museum welcomes you to “Family Day on Aragon” on the second Saturday of each month, with free admission, live music and special activities. 

 

Upcoming event is on Sat., Dec. 13 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Artmaking by TMP

Make art with TMP, a teen-led volunteer and education initiative designed to engage youth in the civic arts of architecture, urban design, and visual arts while fostering leadership skills and community involvement.

1-2 p.m. Brenda Navarrete: The Energy of the Drum

Brenda Navarrete vocalist and percussionist in contemporary Afro-Cuban music leads a hands-on workshop that weaves together traditional percussion, body percussion, movement, and collective creativity. She explores patterns, sounds, clapping, and movement-based dynamics so participants discover how the body itself becomes a musical instrument.

4-5 p.m.: Play Together Ensemble

A special holiday performance featuring a group of amateur musicians playing uplifting, spirited, harmonious melodies.

Also, go across the street to the Coral Gables Art Cinema at 11 a.m. to watch the animated holiday classic “Polar Express.” Click here to read about the film.
