Dale Chihuly's exotic glass installations of Fiori (Italian for “flowers”) are now at The Society of the Four Arts. This outdoor Palm Beach exhibit is FREE.
The famed artist is displayed in 200 museums worldwide, including the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach. His traveling exhibit, glass sculptures of reeds and birds, is displayed in the beautiful Philip Hulitar Sculpture Garden, which is part of the Four Arts Botanical Gardens.
The traveling exhibit, glass sculptures of reeds and birds, is displayed in the beautiful 2-acre garden. Chihuly creates organic, free- flowing forms, which he believes evoke the natural world. He has said he likes juxtaposing the manmade and the natural world, to make people wonder which is which.
This garden is always a treat, but in our current blooming season, it's exceptionally delightful. You'll see 20 other modern sculptures, including a sleek, gilded one of Diana the huntress. Some of the sculptures were created by local artists.
Besides the sculpture area, you'll see nine more themed gardens: Chinese, Fragrant Moonlight, Palm, Bromeliad, Jungle, Spanish Facade, Formal, Tropical and Madonna (not the singer.)
About 15 years ago, Four Arts added walkways, benches, a palm grove, plantings, a plaza, garden pavilion, water fountains, plaza and an emerald lawn. Make sure to view the four pergolas.

Local art lovers already can get their Chihuly fix from his installation of 600 colorful ocean creatures ensconced in a glass ceiling at the Norton Museum of Art. This new exhibit is the icing on the cake.
