Coastal habitats volunteering: Virginia Key

You can help enhance the coastal habitat through this citizen science project, a collaboration between the Frost Science Museum and Miami-Dade EcoAdventures.

Activities may include everything from planting sea oats to removing invasive plants, or litter and debris removal.

The following is a list of public volunteer events:

What: MUVE Volunteer Workday

When: Select Saturdays, from 8 to 10 a.m.

Cost: None; registration required.

Note: Each volunteer needs to fill out the forms separately. Anyone under the age of 18 needs a guardian to sign or register for them. If anyone is under the age of 14, they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Registration closes at 5 p.m. on the Thursday before each event.
