The open-air CityPlace Doral has a couple of weekly events that are geared to music lovers and to shoppers of handcrafted items.
Through Aug. 16, the summer art installation “Summer Lovin' features 186 custom-made overhead hearts above the boulevard in a mix of red, pink, yellow and purple hues and an Instagram-worthy photo opportunity in front of an oversized heart-shaped lock. Additionally, The Oasis experience in the Center’s Fountain Plaza will be adorned with a custom-built structure with four walkable bridges and a center platform, each bridge side panel finished in a different color to mirror the hearts overhead. Fencing along each panel provides visitors to hang their own love locks, creating a living, ever-growing display that builds throughout the summer.
Americana Block Party on Saturday, June 27 from 5-8 p.m. will be decked out in red, white, and blue and have line dancing, live DJ sets and a live performance by country/rock Soul Travelers Band. The first 200 attendees will receive complimentary bandanas and there will be a customizing bandana station and DIY western hat bar and plenty of photo opportunities.

Every Saturday from 6-9 p.m. head to the plaza for live music by a rotating group of bands. Each week, local musicians perform live top 40, Latin and retro hits.
Then every Sunday from 2-10 p.m. enjoy Market on the Plaza. Stroll and shop from local vendors selling handmade goods sweet treats, street food, and more. The market is located at the Fountain Plaza and runs through Dec. 29.
